UKRAINE WITHOUT PAIN: The Pain Management Initiative

Patients suffering from chronic pain often seek different specialists to identify the cause of their pain and to eliminate it, but unfortunately, without a comprehensive approach it's difficult.

Therefore, Nova Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, is working to create a network of centers that will treat patients with chronic pain. The number of people suffering from chronic pain is growing due to russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, among both the wounded soldiers and the civilians who suffered from shelling.

This comprehensive approach, where various specialists (anesthesiologists, neurologists, orthopedists, and psychologists) will collaborate will ensure specialized care for patients with chronic pain, regardless of their place of residence. This is an essential program for the entire healthcare system, as chronic pain affects patients’ quality of life, ability to work, and psychological state.

To date, we have helped to open two such centers in Ukraine and provided them with all the necessary equipment. One of these centers hosts a variety of training courses for doctors on an ongoing basis..
