About Us

Transparent heart organ

Ukraine Without Pain is a non-profit initiative created by Nova Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, focused on advancing the treatment of chronic pain. The project provides free, accessible training and resources for medical professionals, helping them adopt modern, evidence-based approaches to pain management, PTSD, and trauma-related care. By offering expert-led courses, useful resources, and events, we aim to strengthen the healthcare response in times of crisis— and help those who help others.

Alongside education, Ukraine Without Pain is building a nationwide network of medical centers equipped with the latest tools and technologies. We train specialists according to international protocols and promote a new medical culture that recognizes chronic pain as a distinct and serious condition. By uniting doctors, experts, and donors, we are working to make pain medicine more accessible and effective across every region of Ukraine.

We believe that no one should face pain alone — not the patients, and not the doctors who care for them.

The Problem

Over 60% of military personnel in Ukraine suffer from chronic pain syndrome after amputations. Another critical problem is the risk of uncontrolled use of painkillers which can cause addiction and worsen the general condition of patients. Currently, Ukraine lacks a comprehensive pain treatment system, specialists are not sufficiently trained, and patients are often left alone with their pain.

Our Mission

At Ukraine Without Pain, we strive to make chronic pain treatment accessible, effective, and humane. Our goal is to shape a new culture of pain perception in medicine, where each patient receives individualized care according to modern standards. Systemic changes will give people the opportunity to regain control over their own bodies, over their daily lives, and over their futures.
