We are excited to announce “Ukraine Without Pain” — a new initiative by Nova Ukraine in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health. Our mission is to create a nationwide network of pain treatment centers to support the thousands of soldiers and civilians suffering from chronic pain due to war injuries.
The need is urgent: 54% of Ukrainians experience PTSD, while anxiety and stress are affecting millions more. Since February 2022, Ukraine has seen 300,000 new cases of disability, underscoring the demand for advanced pain care and rehabilitation services.
Through “Ukraine Without Pain,” we are:
Establishing specialized pain centers
Providing essential equipment for pain treatment
Training medical professionals to elevate healthcare standards
By the End of 2024, Our Goals Are to:
Open two Pain Medicine centers in Kyiv and Vinnytsia
Launch chronic pain treatment courses
Implement national standards for pain treatment
Develop protocols for diagnostics and care
This Month’s Update:
We started our first specialist training program at the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital in Kyiv! The pioneering team from the Vinnytsia Regional Hospital is training through an innovative “team-teaching-team” model to build expertise that will uplift care across Ukraine.
Since 2022, Nova Ukraine has delivered over $110M in aid and services to over 7.9 million people in Ukraine, with a significant focus on medical care. “Ukraine Without Pain” is just one part of our larger commitment to supporting rehabilitation and mental health.
